and because I’ve always loved creative outlets. I didn’t know what to expect and felt awkward at first, but once I picked up the hammer and smashed that first block, something opened up. but also at how overwhelming the world feels. Ripping up negative thoughts, punching clay, and turning all of it into something beautiful was exactly what I needed. I arrived with this constant low simmering rage, part of it personal, part of it just the world. I was fired up, ready to release it. Punching my wet canvas full of the things that make me angry was incredibly satisfying; I could feel myself getting calmer with every rip, punch, and squish. By the end, I felt completely free.
